Hello everyone!
waiting to publish some extracts of some unforgettable (though now past) evenings, deserves to be mentioned here but unpretentious dinner accompanied by excellent wines indeed, set up in a jiffy to talk business.

The beautiful (and not so good) surprises two weekends ago

Did you know that myself and Amber on 23 October cut the goal of the first year in their love affair. After the lunch, suitcases in hand, starting Galzignano Terme, Terme Euganee area, where some time has been reserved a room for us both with the addition of cocker spaniel in tow. We were at the Hotel Sporting, 4 stars, certainly the most beautiful of these four hotels, with a bit of elegance 'and certainly a bit chilly' démodé having been built in the 60s of XX century. Excellent health club with a wealth of treatments which both I have abused Amber, a beautiful heated pool and indoor and outdoor (communicating), sauna, steam cave, Kneipp. The kitchen, once you can not taste, is good, breakfast is sumptuous, and Saturday night for dinner we enjoyed the big dog in rice sage, duck breast with honey and cakes buffet, washed down with good Valpolicella. Particular not indifferent: the bar does a great Martini!

said that come the best surprises: Sunday morning started early, we decided to wander through the villages in the province of Veneto. We arrive immediately Arquà Petrarca, a retreat of the famous poet, lovely hamlet where he was all uphill during the festival of the jujube. The town is delightful: a majestic castle now used as a landscaped park overlooking the central pedestrian zone, dotted with beautiful churches and ancient buildings. Plus two dessert (actually the weak point, shriveled and almost tasteless) and a carafe of the house honest Raboso Piave, total price 30 € (which means that even doing a full meal does not exceed 25 a head).

On the way back, lost between the campaigns of Rovigo, we admired beautiful Venetian villas, some of them in ruins that need more care, then, to dodge the ground depressed that gravitates between Rovigo and Ferrara, we channeled the highway to go home.

The evening was not the best, cold and rain were the backdrop to a reunion for years that we waited .. and what's better than a good risotto to warm his limbs numb the dull atmosphere evening?

The beauty of the Gypsy and you know (maybe) from where you start and almost never where you come ..... and often (if you're right ... with the spirit of irony and education) ... from a "bad luck" I born of luck.

Thanks to the alert of some patrons of a pastry Savigliano (this is a chapter in which I leave as a friend to tell) ... we ended up in a full Varaita Venasca at the Restaurant located in the Commerce ..... the center of the village.

We go into this place and we are greeted by the owner and the waitress ... that as a first approach (typical of the area) will almost always show a tad bit chilly and suspicious of the stranger .... but then open with rare gentleness and sobriety after a while. Anyway ...... first
..... what bring us the wine list ...... amazing ..... in a restaurant where there is no printed menu .... there is a wine list worthy of .... half of the Inns of Bologna .... obviously (and rightly) deep on the bottles Piedmont ....... cmq our choice is about a young Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba.
It starts with appetizers .... all tastes .... including salami remember .... ..... ..... tongue in sauce, veal with tuna sauce green peppers ... Alba .... hot ... and others.
Go to the first ... so worth the trip just that .... ..... valVario dumplings served with butter and cheese galore ..... taken directly from the pan ... hot hot (what I appreciate more ).....
already quite satisfied ..... there is scope the last portion of lamb baked Sambucano ..... ..... and here comes the dilemma since the portion was a pan full .... who knows what the concept portion of ... well who knows have a healthy appetite for mountain inhabitants of these parts .... cmq ... melted in the mouth of the dish was so tender ... and of course now has evaporated from our plates.
Finally .... not right for us to miss anything ..... we have added three cakes ... where we stood a good chocolate cake and coffee .... and then ..... Barolo we get up. The bill
boh ....... ... .... I do not know what to say ...... except wine (honest ).... reloading with 60-odd euro in three .... .. I understand the low cost of living (and perhaps of the claims even though )...... in the worst farm tucked away in the heart of the Province of Bo (Mo ).... or so .... I spend to eat cold cuts and then some ..... not tigelle castelmagno gnocchi with lamb and elderberries (Slowfood) ... . who knows the Mysteries of Life .......

After more than 10 years since the last time, we finally found maxx, Theo and myself with candy for us pretty much a "brother" who would appear on every hypothetical souvenir photo with the most unforgettable moments experienced by 14 to 25 years ...
remember - all my life, I swear! - Maxx as candy and quite naturally the other night were lost in that conversation were to put in the right temporal order small details (telephone calls, conversations ..) which occurred a few days away from each other .. 15 YEARS AGO!

there we serve noodles with wild boar and porcini ravioli filled with pulled too much garlic.
to follow tasting crescentine usually fried with mixed garnish (meats, cheeses ..), then grilled meats, and desserts (including a crema catalana that neither theory nor are we able to eat it was so unrecognizable).
